This is from a recent Windows 10 update. If you have a registered program opened when shutting down or restarting, no problem - windows will relaunch them for you on next startup. What Windows cannot do is save your data files.
In this case, click "Review . ." and Windows will take you to a place where you can choose save your work or discard it.
On the other hand if Snagit is not letting you close Snagit because of an unsaved snag, that anotherĀ  story. I'm a little fuzzy on what "I tried not saving images . . " means?

I mean, in "Snagit Editor > Preferences > Automatically save new image..." y thought maybe changing this wont have the message above, but does not matter this setting.
Thank you,

I noticed that a few weeks ago - they define an auto-save folder, can't be changed, and it doesn't auto save if turned on!
I've begun to think if there are 25 Tech Smith coders, there are 25 ideas as to where to put . . data - it's all over the place. Hopefully they'll get a clue before everything falls apart.

Can we get the SnagIt development team to look into this and provide an update? I can't believe this hasn't been addressed yet.

Totally ACK ... it should be very easy to add an option to default save or default discard on close instead of that annoying ask window.
