Windows Snipping Tool Option

I like the new integration with the Windows Snipping Tool but I don't like that it's an all-or-nothing choice. It would be helpful to add an option, probably as a pop-up, that asks what I would like to do after each capture. Often, I want to just copy so that I can quickly paste. Sometimes I would like to proceed to SnagIt's editor. Periodically (such as when I plan to do some ink drawings), I may prefer to use Windows Snipping Tool app.

Thanks for the consideration.

You only need the snipping tool to capture Snagit screens. Otherwise just use the Snagit capture features. I chose to integrate the snipping tool with the editor and it did ask me on the way in if that is what I wanted.
Do you want to break the connection with the snipping tool You can do that and then just copy from that and paste into the snagit editor ...

How do I break the connection so Snagit doesn't pop up every time I want to grab a quick screen shot with the Snipping Tool?

From the main capture window choose File > Preferences > Capture tab and clear the option labeled "Open screenshots copied from system tools".

Cheers... Rick :)

You say 'Often, I want to just copy so that I can quickly paste' All you need to do is set up a profile where you capture and send  'copy to clipboard' on and 'Preview in editor' off. Look at manage presets in Snagit one click or other config options.
