In Photoshop, if you are marquee-ing a region and wish to fine-tune, you can press the shift key which lets you make adjustments to the location what you've already done. Then release the Shift key and finish what you're doing.

To my knowledge there's no way to do similar with Snagit. If there is, please let me know how to do that. If not, please add such an ability.

Hi,

If I understand correctly what you're asking, this is possible in Snagit if you use all-in-one capture. Once you make a selection, you can drag any corner or edge to resize it (no need to hold shift or any other key).

Let me know if this is what you're referring to.

Yes, one could do that but that's sort of like buying a restaurant to get a cup of coffee.

If I'm trying to capture one small region on the screen and miss, I have to do it all over again. To capture the entire screen to get that small bit later is, well, overkill (and a time waster).

I just want to be able to start the marquee process, readjust as needed, and finish.

Here's a video showing me marquee-ing in PS. It should be pretty obvious
Opps, dang, you can't take video files. If you want to see this, send me a link please.

That's exactly what all-in-one allows you to do. you can select and tweak and re-select until you get it exact, and then you can click the image (or video) button to take the capture. All-in-one doesn't mean you're capturing everything, it's the same as an image region capture except that you get a choice at the end of taking image/video capture and you can edit the selection before making that final choice.
