With SCORM video playback, replace open in new tab with full-screen button

Currently, a SCORM video uploaded to an LMS displays the open in a new tab button where the full-screen button should be on the player. You have to open it in a new tab before you can go full-screen. This should be changed... I dont want our users to go through an extra step to go full-screen. At least give the option to show both or replace during export. Also, during export, it doesn't point out this fact. Only discovered once published to LMS.

I'm sorry for the confusion around the open in new tab and full screen buttons.  The open in new tab button is a fallback when it isn't possible to play back the video in full screen.  This is usually caused by how the SCORM provider (CMS / LMS) is embedding the TechSmith Smart Player (video player) in their system.  Unfortunately, this issue must be corrected by the SCORM provider vendor and not TechSmith.

We did release a new version of the TechSmith Smart Player last week that will hide the new tab button when using SCORM.  This version hasn't shipped with Camtasia yet, but will be coming soon.

Ben, has the functionality that will hide the new tab been made available? I'm dealing with this right now with a client's video.

The fixed version of the Smart Player has not shipped yet to Camtasia, but please contact TechSmith tech support and they can walk you through manually updating the player to the latest version.
