Worst software I have ever used, you know I thought it was terrible because I was using it on my old laptop so I bought a brand new desktop and used it there and it still crashes and now its not even loading my project files. Never get this software, Movie Maker is free and better than this garbage I paid for.

You bought a new desktop? And Camtasia doesn't work? Wow, I have a 10 year old desktop I'm trying to sell for $40 but it works with Camtasia, slow but its a go. AND I don't have to use free software (that's 90% infected with something.)

I'm at the point of using the free software again but it has no good effects on it so maybe I'll just save up to buy the latest sony vegas editing software. Studio 8 was a good software I only had the free trial but it worked, I tried buying the studio 8 but they said it was sold out or something so I bought 9, worst mistake I ever made. . it works fine for mostly everyone I see here but idk why its crashing and not loading projects for me.

Well, if you're having crashes with Camtasia 9 and a new computer. Odds are, it has something to do with the media you're trying to process or your new computer.
I've ran a lot of projects through Camtasia 9 and have no recollection of crashing it even once.
I use a computer built for video editing. Which works in my favor. I also have Camtasia 2018, so I don't use Camtasia 9 any longer.
But here's the bottom line, if your crashing the program all the time. You should contact tech support.
Sometimes a new computer is missing critical drivers or Windows updates.

While I've had some instability problems with CS 9, overall it's pretty stable. The first thing to do to address instability issues is to go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced and change the Hardware Acceleration to "Use software-only mode". That single change can make a huge difference.

It's also a lot more productive to explain exactly what you're experiencing and ask for assistance than to just spew your frustration and trash the product. Camtasia isn't perfect, but it does work really well for most users. If it's not working for you, there's a reason that needs to be identified and addressed.

I have Camtasia v8 which works great for me. I'm glad I didn't upgrade and wouldn't anyway until Camtasia starts supporting mkv files. Not supporting mkv files is like not supporting flac files in the audio world.

Camtasia support is excellent and can probably help you out. I had a weird crashing issue that has sobering to do with audio drivers in windows. Not Camtasia's fault, but they did help me figure it out and got me back to work.
I think they do a great job supporting both platforms (Win and Mac).
