Would it be possible to add support for consistent frame rates in future updates?

I'm using Snagit for web based video tutorials. However, I can't seem to get Snagit to maintain a consistent frame rate (such as 29.97 fps), because once I'm done capturing the screen footage I still have to edit the clips with my separately recorded audio and if the frame rates don't match the video will play too fast for the separately recorded audio to keep up with. I understand the way you currently have it set up allows for smaller file sizes, but some of us have the drive space for larger files if need be and it's already compressed as is. Maybe it could be an optional feature?

Hmmm, so when you record perhaps 30 seconds of screen activity, you don't end up with a  30 second video? Seems that would really be the key to this. I just tested by recording about 19 seconds with intermittent long pauses that should have resulted in many dropped frames. Yet the resulting video was the same duration as what my timer recorded.

I won't say this wouldn't be good to have but...

I think this response from Rick Stone in this past post here says it best

SnagIt is intended for recording very quick down and dirty videos that you just finish and they are done and ready to view with very little (if any) post editing. I believe the videos recorded are created "on the fly". They aren't really intended for taking into other applications for further editing. Unless, of course, you have SnagIt's younger sibling Camtasia.

But then again, if you have Camtasia, why would you be using SnagIt for recording your video?

You might want to investigate Camtasia for this workflow
