Would the hand tool be a useful tool for you?

The hand tool serves to move an object around the canvas selecting in turn.
I was surprised to find that holding Ctrl+shift keys actually brings up a hand, but it does not do anything yet.
Faster to work and always ready to shift objects around.
If it exists, why does it not work?
Would it be a great deal of hassle to implement it?

Does anyone else think they could use this tool?
I know there is the move tool, but I think they could complement each other to perfection.

Just a thought.
Thanks for reading.

Nick

It works,
however. It only works when the image is larger than the canvas area.

Once you've applied enough zoom to see the either the horizontal or vertical scroll bars. "Or both"

The Hand "Pan" tool will work.

if you may perhaps have written this for some other motor bike it would have been great help, but royal enfield are unavoidable to have teething troubles, that is one of the reason we love them.

Panning the whole canvas is not what I mean.
A hand tool to move individual objects, text etc. around the canvas.
Otherwise, you have to select the move toll then activate smart move... that's not fast. Cltrl+Shift, now that is speedy and productive.

Why can the toolbar be customized and saves as default?
I spend time arranging tools and the next time I open Snagit its all back to where it was before.
Being able to make a smaller toolbar or place it at the side to get some more canvas space would not go amiss.

Thanks,
Nick

The "Move Tool" can move grab any object that hasn't been flattened and move it. Unless it buried under another layer, and you can't get to it. Like an oversized transparent text box.

Smart Move is a separate function altogether.

Some people have a problem with the toolbar resetting itself, some do not.

My toolbar holds it's settings, so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
