I was able to quickly connect Fuse from my iPhone to SnagIt on my Macbook via the QR code and Wifi, but am unable to make the same connection to my Win7 desktop, which is connected via Ethernet. I do most of my SnagIt work on my Windows machine, so the ability to connect the Fuse app some way other than via Wifi wold be most appreciated.

Hello Paul,

Thanks for the idea.

As long as the network that you are on ethernet with and on wifi with is the same network and there are no firewalls to prevent traffic jumping between the different networks  it should be possible for Fuse to connect to your desktop.

It sounds like you tried to use Fuse to connect to your desktop but it didn't work,  is it possible that there is a firewall somewhere that is preventing network traffic from moving between the wifi and ethernet networks?

Thanks,

It's possible there's a firewall - I'll try at home to see if it'll talk between Wifi and Ethernet there...

Works fine at home, we'll have to chalk this up as a work firewall issue. Are there ports I could ask IT to open up?

same problem here. getting IT to help with this sort of 'new' technology might be tough...
