A couple of days ago the yellow scrolling button disappeared from my program when trying to scrolling capture in Chrome.
This is only affecting my Chrome browser, I can scroll in IE.
As far as I'm aware I hadnt done anything to change any settings.
I am on a work computer, and this problem isnt happening for anyone else.
I'm pretty useless with anything out of the ordinary - so hoping someone can help! :)
Thanks!!

What version of Chrome are you using.  Someone else just reported a similar issue, but I can capture a scrolling window on chrome, but I'm on version 31.0.1650.57 m.

That's the same version the other guy was on that said he had the problem.  Interesting that I just updated my Chrome and my version says Version 31.0.1650.63 m and I'm able to do a scrolling capture.  I don't know why my update doesn't got to 32.  Chrome says it's at up to date.

Hello Melissa,

We have confirmed that Snagit cannot perform scrolling capture in Chrome as of version 32.  We are investigating possible solutions and workarounds.  We think it has something to do with the new scrollbars in Chrome but we haven't confirmed this.  If it is something with the new scrollbars we are thinking maybe there is a way to configure it within Chrome.

I'll update here, once we know more.

Greg,  we are thinking that Google has a way to deliver the updates to some users but not all.

Thanks,

Hello Melissa,

According to the following link,  Chrome 32 is still a beta.  The thinking in the comments seem to indicate that maybe it was released to the stable channel by accident.  I can confirm that in looking at 2 PCs in front of me one has it and another does not and both are on the stable channel.

The comments indicate that the changes with the scrollbars are causing many different problems in Chrome 32 and to go back to Chrome 31, simply uninstall and re-install Chrome.   As long as you are hooked up to sync all of your bookmarks/settings, etc... you won't lose anything.

Furthermore,  I have verified that the the scrolling issues have been fixed and Snagit works just fine in the latest Chrome beta but I wouldn't recommend getting that because it is on the beta channel.

Update on this issue:

- Chrome 32 has now been released to the stable channel
- I was wrong about scrolling working in the Chrome 32 beta,  the arrows show up but scrolling doesn't complete.   This is the behavior we are also seeing in the stable Chrome 32.
- We are looking at it right now to see if there is a workaround or fix.
