YouTube Users Claiming Copyright rights on Camtasia Music Assets

I paid for the access to the extended Assets library and I've been very happy with it so far. However, I just got hit with 2 Music Copyright claims from 3 different individuals. I did my research and sure enough, the music is the same. I read the licence agreement and I know we can use the music without us having to worry about getting a copyright claim. I submitted a dispute pointing to the Licence agreement and rights for the Camtasia assets.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? It's quite annoying.

First I've heard of this - were they just saying they wanted your content taken down or was there a request for payment? Did this come to your attention via Email or was this on your youtube page?

No, but any monitarization goes to these individuals instead of you. They're profiting with your content on a legal loophole.

Hi Geekyg1rl,

I apologize for the inconvenience.  Submitting a dispute is the correct course of action in this case, and should resolve the issue for you.  Unfortunately, this is an issue with the copyright holder and YouTube's Content ID system.  As we don't make the music ourselves, only license it, other parties may have copyright on that material.  In this case, the copyright holders are using YouTube's Content ID system to verify that you are in fact licensed to be using that music.  Please refer to the link Joe posted below for more information:

If that doesn't resolve the claim, please let us know, and we would be happy to step in and assist further on your behalf.

On the monetization issue, once the dispute is resolved, all those funds should be released to you.  YouTube has outlined their policies regarding this here.
