Zoom duration zero and copy paste, is this thing broken?

Just purchased and now thinking of using the 30day money back. Zoom and pan duration is stuck on 00:00:00;01. So when there is a split in my video yet I need to maintain the previous zoom with a duration of 0, I can't!

If I start with zoom at the very first frame it will give me a duration of 0, but if I copy/paste that zoom keyframe to the next clip it insists on adding a duration. This is lame.

There's a work around but it's tedious and very unproductive for me. That is to add a zoom key frame at the 1st frame of each video split. Do not copy/paste. And then tediously add the position values to each one so that they match. Again, this is very lame.

Edit: The workaround doesn't work either! Changing the position values resets the "scale to fit"!

Perhaps before applying the zoom, select the media on either side of the split, right-click and choose to stitch the media?

I too have workarounds for this limitation, mainly copying and pasting clip properties. It actually works well for me since I change other aspects of the clips like speed routinely. If you ever get a situation where stitching doesn't work for that reason, right-click the leading clip and select Copy properties. Then right-click the trailing clip and paste. That's been pretty reliable for me when stitching is not possible.
